SO MANY QUESTIONS; AND THE ANSWERS COME BACK UNANSWERED [/u][/center] (Welcome to a new thread. Hopefully, you all know the plot, and if you haven't read it yet, please do. You can find the link in the drop-down menu in the 'Portkeys' sidetable. Or, alternatively, you could just click here. Whichever will do We're hoping this year that the RPs at TEH will stick closely to the new plot, as last year, nothing much happened. This year, the darkness is coming, as the mainhead banner says, so we need to get our evil hats on so we can make this year dangerous. So grab your characters and jump in. If anyone has any ideas for an internal plot for this RP, please feel free to PM all the people on this thread and we'll give you feedback. Without any further ado, I declare this thread OPEN! Have fun, fellow TEHians.)) EDIT: Changed the title of this RP to make it easier to remember; it shortens to SMQ It's from the song 'My Best Theory' by Jimmy Eat World

[ First of all, who is that song by? it sounds familiar. Secondly, HAII! It's been ages since we've RPed together, Lozz. Mostly it's just been OOC chats, and that's not as fun as RPing XD. I read your posts on 'The Beginning' and it looks good I would jump in, but it looks like Alexia hasn't been on sicnce :/ shame. It looked good. But yes, let us have more plot-related RPs than last year! As usual, I have Sam XD ]

(It's from 'Pain' from Jimmy Eat World. I love that track so much And YES, it has been ages! And yeah, that RP was fun; we started it on iScribble but carried it on here. And Ashh has been out and about I presume because I haven't heard off her since.))

Shall we get started then? ]

(Did you just reply in 'Broken Glass'?? And sures, that would be epictasticfullness! I shall begin XD)) Ylana Thomson walked smoothly through the hordes of Muggles and Wizarding families alike that were gathering at Kings Cross Station, London; although the magical people there were dressed surprisingly well in Muggle attire, they were instantly recognisable: most had Owls and Hogwarts trunks on their trolleys. Ylana was one to talk, though, as she was the same; her Tawny Owl Alethea strapped securely onto her trunk which, in turn, was strapped securely onto her trolley. Her destination, like so many others, was not a usual platform where the sleek trains came to stop for Muggles to board; her platform was a magical realm, hidden between two platforms, only accessible through a wall. Once Ylana had spotted this wall, she steered herself towards it carefully, and then walked towards it. She leaned casually against the wall and felt herself fall through it to Platform nine and three quarters. Her trolley still under her hands, she wove her way through the throngs of families and students towards the gleaming scarlet Hogwarts Express, spewing steam, waiting at the platform. The hold was almost empty, which wasn't too surprising, as Ylana was earlier than usual. The train would probably be empty, as most of the students put their trunks here and then went back out onto the platform to bid fairwell to their families or else to look out for friends. But Ylana didn't have any family here, not the type who'd come to see see her off, anyway; the only person she counted as family now were her best friends. After pulling what she needed for the train ride out of her trunk, Ylana walked slowly down the familiar, richly carpeted corridor of the Hogwarts Express. As she had expected, the compartments were all completely empty. She shose her usual compartment, number 62, and sat down on the comfortable bench. After pulling out an 'Advanced Guide to Potion-Making' and cracking open the book to a dog-eared page, Ylana settled down and began reading. She'd have to leave the comparment when the train started moving anyway, as she was Head Girl this year, and would have to brief the new Prefects in the Prefect compartment at the rear of the train. Luckily this year, she could delegate the patrolling duties to some of the new Prefects so her and her friends could sit down and have a decent conversation for once, uninterruped by having to get up and patrol the train for trouble-makers. (EDIT:: 416 words ))

( omg that's a really long post, Lauren =O )
Nyxon Wyatt entered Platform nine and three quarters and made straight for the train. Her family was too busy to come with her today (her mother, a Muggle, was working at her local primary school and her father, a wizard, was working at the Ministry of Magic), so she was on her own. Once her trunk was stowed away carefully, she walked down the corridor of the Hogwarts Express and found a compartment with a girl sitting in it. She was pale with very long, straight, sleek black hair and very blue eyes. She wwas obviously very interested in Potions, because her nose was stuck in an 'Advanced Guide to Potion-Making', a heavy tome with many complicated potions in it. Nyxon knew this because she had a copy of the book too, though couldn't make any sense of some of the potions in there.
Knocking on the glass door, Nyxon walked into the compartment and smiled at the girl. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked politely. "Only everywhere else is empty and I don't llike being lonely."

(Speak for yourself, Mel! XD))
Ylana look up at the sound of a voice. The girl who stood there, a yellow and black Hufflepuff scarf draped around her neck, looked vaguely familiar. Ylana smiled and gestured to the seat opposite, keeping her book open with one hand. "Sure, feel free. In Hufflepuff then, I see?" she added in a friendly voice, but she was wary. The argument she'd had with Sarah last year, who had been in Hufflepuff too, had separated Gryffindor and Hufflepuff quite a bit. Usually, they steered clear of eachother, but obviously not today.

Nyxon sat down on the seat opposite the girl and put down her robes. "Yeah. Going into fifth year tonight. Hufflepuff's a lot better than most people think. I mean, they look at the House and think that we're misfits, you know, that we don't belong anywhere else. But Hufflepuff's a great House and we have loads of fun in there." Her words were defensive, as was her tone. She had to stop doing that! It wasn't like this girl had openly attacked Huffpuff, she'd just comented on the scarf that she was wearing. "Anyway, I'm Nyxon Wyatt. It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand so that the other girl could shake it.

[ So I'm gone for a few minutes, and all these replies happen?! Oh and welcome back Mel ] Samantha Jackson, after arriving at the platform and dumping her things in the hold of the Hogwarts Express, walked down the long corridor of the train and stopped at her and Ylana's usual compartment. Sure enough, Ylana sat in there. But there was another girl in there too. Sam stepped into the compartment and hugged Ylana. " 'lana, what happened to writing?! I thought you were going to Owl me about meeting up today so we could get in here together! Plus, I only just managed to shake off Charlie, you know how she can be sometimes." Then she stopped and looked at the other girl in the compartment, as though she had only just noticed her. She had a yellow and black scarf wound around her neck. "A Hufflepuff, Ylana? What's got into you?" she asked in shock. After the riot against Hufflepuff the year before last, the Gryffindors were all a bit touchy when it came to the yellow and black house.

(Oh poop, sorry Leila, I thought your post said '5th year' >.<))
Ylana hugged Sam back too. "Well, mom and dad have been breathinng down my neck a lot since I got home in June, so it wasn't safe to send you any post. Sorry." She stopped for a moment and looked between Nyxon and Sam before answering. "Sam, have you got any tact at all? Plus she's nicer than Sarah, anyway. And she had nowhere else to sit because she doesn't like to be alone." She paused and smiled warily at Nyxon as she sat back down again. "Hi, Nyxon Wyatt. I'm Ylana Thomson and this is Samantha Jackson (you probably know her twin sister Charlotte, she's in Hufflepuff too; they look pretty similar) and we're sixth year Gryffindors."

( I thought so too! Sorry guys, ignore the faact that I put '5th year' =) )
Nyxon watched the scene with shock. The girl with the red hair, who Ylana had intriduced as Sam Jackson, seemed to be very loud and distrusting. And yes, Nyxon did know Charlie - she also knew that Charlie was much nicer-seeming than this girl. "Ylana Thomson. The Riot Leader. Right." She swallowed. Hopefully, these two confident Gryffindors wouldn't find anything to have a go at her about.

Ylana sighed; would she always be known as 'the riot leader' to the other houses now? "I've retired from leading riots for now." she said jokingly, hitching a smile onto her face. "But if there's time and incentive, I might try another one."

Sam laughed at her friend. "You know what Ylana? I think you would if there was time and incentive!" She laughed again and then sat down on the seat next to Ylana and stroked her Owl Biscuit's sleek feathers through the bars in her cage.
