Welcome to Slytherin House. We all welcome you graciously to our midst and hope that you feel right at home right away.
You've probably heard a lot of stories about Slytherins, no doubt coming from Harry Potter's time here: that all Slytherins are bad and practice Dark magic, that we are bullies who dislike everyone but ourselves. We are not like this. We are brave, and we fight for our cause like the Gryffindors; we are loyal to eachother, and we make friends like the Hufflepuffs; we are hardworking, and we get good grades like the Ravenclaws. Let not their facade of rightousness and easy confident boasting confuse you: we are the winning House of Hogwarts and we prove it every day that we continue to learn at our historic school!
But we'll start to prove this to the other Houses by winning the House Cup this year, rather than be beaten extraordinarily badly by two other Houses. Hufflepuff and Gryffindor are confident, but we are the natural winners in this place, and we will show them all that Slytherin House is not worthless!
If any of you need anything at all from any one of your Housemates, don't hesitate to PM one of us. We're happy to help our Slytherin family.
